Mini-Interviews Jo Schneider

The Society MI 8 Jo

1. What’s your name, where are you from and how long have you been a member of the TS?

My name is Jo Schneider. I am from Minnesota. I have been a member of the TS since 2000, I believe.

2. Are you active in your Lodge/Section and if so, what do you do?

I am the acting president of my Lodge. I am also a board representative for the Central Section of the TS in America.

3. How did you first learn about Theosophy or come in contact with the Society?

I moved around when I was young and was an avid reader. I would go to the local library/bookstores and wait for the book to “jump out” at me. I found out later these books were Theosophical writers. When I settled into one geographic location, I found my local and national Lodge then joined.

4. What does Theosophy mean to you?

Theosophy is the structure of my present incarnation’s evolutionary path.

5. What is your favorite Theosophical book and why?

I.K. Taimni’s Science of Yoga. This is my guide book through this lifetime.

6. What in your opinion is the biggest challenge the TS is facing at the moment?

Synthesis is our biggest challenge.

7. Is there anything you would wish for the future of the Theosophical Movement?

I would wish we will synthesize into a functional group to aid in the evolution of human kind.
